Y-3 presents the label’s Amber Ink lookbook. Throughout its existence, Y-3 has explored the threshold between polarities, and, now, the renegade label returns to introduce its Fall/Winter 2025 collection: a polyphonic collision of sport, considered technique, and evocative graphic treatments. Shot by long-standing Y-3 collaborator Thue Nørgaard, the lookbook visuals use light, colour, and composition to bend reality: creating unique images that capture moments of beauty in unexpected places.
Forming an integral part of Y-3’s Fall/Winter 2025 creative vision, the Amber Ink graphic treatment brings a sense of transformation and natural beauty to every piece – rendering all different and unique. Each artwork, inspired by the striking visual impact of amber, is reimagined through the lens of Japanese ink painting. With an ink color palette that ranges from light, translucent, shades of golden yellow, to deeper, more intense tones, bordering on orange or brown, the artworks emphasise the visceral aesthetic qualities of amber: often associated energy, warmth, creativity, and clarity.
Striking silhouettes, dramatic cinching, expressive padding and contorted Three Stripes provide the canvas upon which the Amber Ink artworks undulate as coaches jackets, cargo pants, tracksuits, knit dresses, puffers, and knit sweaters are all carefully finished off with precisely placed and stacked logo elements, each adopting a similar graphic approach.
A curated selection of footwear accompanies the Amber Ink pieces including the Y-3 REGU and the Y-3 REGU BOOT, both featuring custom patterned details, and the Y-3 TOKYO.
